Unable to enter programming codes

Solution Options:

  • Firstly, you must ensure that you are set up using the standard method, the standard set up is:

                                                                                 i.      Unplug the Line cable from your telephone

ii.      Take the Line cable that you unplugged and insert it into the LINE port of the call blocker

iii.      Place the short black cable provided with the call blocker into the TEL port and the other end into the telephone.

·

  • Generate a dial tone, press and hold the block now button until you hear a beep, then enter the desired code.

  • Without getting a dial tone, enter the code to be programmed into the call blocker, then Press the Talk/ Dial/ Green button to input.

  • Use the alternative programming codes, start the desired code with a # rather than *, therefore as all codes currently start **7, code now need to start #*7

  • If you have recently received a call for instance from private and this has prompted you to enter the code, instead scroll through the call list and find, it will appear as dash across the middle of the screen and on the display along the edges, it will read “private” once found in call list, hit the block now button and this will block all private calls without having to enter the code. This will work for all additional programming codes, when in the call list.

Answering Machine not working

Solution Options:

  • If there is a voicemail service and an answering machine change voice mail service ring count to 6 or higher when your answer machine is set to 4 rings. Just make sure the voice mail service is always two rings above your local answer machine's ring count. When you complete this one step, both systems will be fully operational.

  • If there is a stand-alone answering machine - Change answer machine ringer to 7 rings or higher before kicking in.

  • If you have a separate answering machine that is NOT built into the telephone handset or base unit, you will be able to connect the CPR Call Blocker to the PHONE in the STANDARD / set up and connect the Answering machine in PARALLEL to the Call Blocker and phone using a LINE splitter.
