Blocking all calls or dropping after 1 or 2 rings

Blocking all calls or dropping after 1 or 2 rings

Problem
The call blocker is blocking all incoming calls or they are dropping off after one or 2 rings

Reasons for this
There is two possible causes of this:
  1. Caller ID is not active or not transmitting through to the call blocker
  2. There is too much plugged in and there is overloading on the line
Solution

Caller ID is not active- Contact telephone provider and request for caller ID to be activated - usually takes 24 hours to complete.

Caller ID is not transmitting through to the call blocker the first thing to check is the call blocker set up on the master socket - if not change to this.

Then try and change the operating mode on the call blocker. Change the operating mode on the caller blocker to 100, then test, 200, then test and back to 300.

Finally, one other thing to try is to change the set up to Parallel with the white cable.

Overloading the line - We need to determine which piece of this equipment is at fault, it’s best to disconnect everything currently connected to all wall jacks/sockets in your home. Make sure there is nothing else plugged in the line like poor quality DSL filters, splitters, telephone extension cables, other phones in separate telephone wall jacks, alarm systems, Fax machines, Printers, TV Set Top Boxes, Credit Card Machines, Security Gates, etc. Once everything is removed, reconnect the Call Blocker to the Main Wall Jack using the Standard (IN SERIES) Set Up – then reconnect your other devices one by one to help eliminate the problem.

Alternatively, try setting the call blocker up with a splitter and additional line cable:
